Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 June 2026

This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your data, including special-category health data. It applies to bettr.now and the account you create with us.

Who we are

bettr.now is operated by Sentium Ltd (company no. 16512683), registered in England & Wales, London E17 3NU. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration no. ZC003342. Contact us at support@sentium.app.

What we collect

  • Account data - email, password (stored only as a salted hash), and your chosen sign-in method (email, Google, Apple or Facebook).
  • Profile data - age, sex, ethnicity, health conditions and goals you provide to personalise your results.
  • Health data (special category) - your blood biomarker results, derived scores (your bettr age, system scores) and interpretations.
  • Wearable data - if you connect a device, signals such as sleep, heart rate and activity.
  • Payment data - processed by Stripe; we never store your card details.
  • Technical data - limited, privacy-respecting usage and error telemetry to keep the service secure and working.

Our lawful bases

We process your health data only with your explicit consent, captured when you sign up and withdrawable at any time. We also rely on performance of our contract with you (to provide the service) and our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and service reliability).

Where your data lives

Your health data is stored and processed in UK Azure regions, encrypted in transit and at rest. Lab-report extraction runs inside our own Azure tenant. Narrative interpretation uses Azure OpenAI within our tenant. We never sell your data.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of vetted processors under data-processing agreements: Microsoft Azure (hosting, AI), Brevo (transactional email), Stripe (payments) and our accredited lab and collection partners. Each only receives what it needs to perform its function. We never put your health results in an email.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account and as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, use your account or email support@sentium.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Deleting your data

See our data deletion instructions for how to remove your account and data, including if you signed in with Facebook, Google or Apple.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure forms. We do not use advertising cookies.

Children

bettr.now is for adults (16+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes & contact

We'll post any changes here and, for material changes, notify you. Questions? Email support@sentium.app.
